John Kaldawi Reviews - The Golder Temple:


John Kaldawi visited the Golden Temple in the city of Amritsar, in the state of Punjab, India.  To begin with, Amritsar is a holy city for the Sikhs who are the majority in the Amritsar district.  It is known to be the spiritual and cultural centre for the Sikh religion which attacks more visitors than almost any other shrine in India.

Doing more research, John learned that the main activities in the city of Amritsar is tourism, fabrics, handcrafts, and carpet.  The city is has many cuisines and was chosen as one of the heritage cities in India, and is also one of the largest cities in Punjab, India.  The city is also known for the massacre that took place in 1919 by the British military.

John Kaldawi also learned after doing more research that after the partition of British India into India and Pakistan, this had a profound effect on all aspects of life in Amritsar, especially because Punjab was divided between two countries and Amritsar became a border city and suffered the results of the conflict between India and Pakistan.

John Kaldawi believes that the Golden Temple has an incredible energy and a must see and be felt and experienced by all those who are on the spiritual path who seek higher levels of consciousness.

John Kaldawi learned that the pranic currents, ida, pingala and sushumna, operate alternately.  The current that is flowing at any particular time may be gauged by noting the flow of breath in the nostrils.  When the left nostril has a greater flow of air, then ida nadi is predominant.  When the flow is greater in the right nostril, then pingala is predominant.  If the flow is equal in both of the nostrils, then sushumna is predominant. Kundalini Shakti (Macrocosmic Energy)

John Kaldawi learned that in the Upanishads it is said, "A man may have ears, eyes, and all facilities and parts of the body, but unless he has mahaprana there is no consciousness."   Prana is both macrocosmic and microcosmic and is the substratum of all life.   Mahaprana (the great prana) is the cosmic, universal, all-encompassing energy out of which we draw substance through the breathing process.   The various pranas in the body, prana, aprana, samana, udana and vyana, are at once a part of this mahaprana and also separate from it.
