John Kaldawi visited the pyramids of Giza, Egypt. One of the great seven wonders of the
world. It was constructed as a tomb of
the Egyptian dynasty, for the Pharaohs and their families. It is been said to be about 146 meters in
height when it was built. It was built
with high precision construction, and the blocks used are almost perfect in
terms of measurements. The base of the
pyramid is perfectly aligned to the north pole with almost no error.
Doing
more research, John
learned that over 130 pyramids were discovered so far in Egypt, the oldest of
which was said to have been built 2640 BC.
Nearly all of the pyramids are located west of the Nile river. The bodies in the tombs were preserved using
mummification. The dead were buried with
items that ranged from everyday items to the most expensive jewelry. Most tombs were robbed except Tutankhamun
which was rediscovered in 1922, which was famous for the solid gold mask of
Tutankhamun.
John Kaldawi believes that Egypt is filled with historic
treasures and great monuments and status.
There is more to be discovered in the years to come.
